Paris Rouge - J'aime, je déteste

As much as I love the signs and the fast and efficient Paris Métro, my knees detest the endless steps, the steps, the steps. This last trip, Mary and I pretty much figured out the Paris bus system and I was very grateful.

I take it the Metro doesn't have elevators.

I've always preferred taking the buses. Especially if one is on vacation-there is very little that you have to be on time for. I've also taken buses from one end to the other to see the real citizens of the city and the area beyond the tourist areas. A cheap day of tourism.

On my last trip I never took the subway! Walked a lot and took buses...For me, the perfumes are difficult...Congratulations on your book! I will look for it!!

I seem to remember escalators, but maybe I'm thinking of London. I do remember taking a bus to Père Lachaise. It's slower than the Metro, but nice to watch the city go by as you ride.
